Boulevard Capital is a private investment firm dedicated to providing investors with opportunities that are difficult for most to access. With a strategic focus on lower middle market private equity, we specialize in direct investments, co-investments, and partnerships with other independent sponsors and self-funded searchers. Our expertise also extends to real estate, natural resources, and SPVs targeting niche, uncorrelated investments.
Derrick Griffin is the Founder and Managing Partner of Boulevard Capital. He brings over 20 years of institutional investment experience, during which he generated a strong track record of performance across various market cycles. Having invested more than $2 billion alongside some of the world's most sophisticated investment managers, Derrick’s leadership and expertise anchor Boulevard Capital’s commitment to delivering attractive risk-adjusted returns for investors.
Derrick holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA). Beyond Boulevard, he serves as a Board Member and Chair of the Finance Committee for the Northwest Foundation (Northwest Missouri State University) and is a former Term Member at the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR).

Direct Investment Opportunities

Private Equity Investments
With deep global networks across private equity markets, Boulevard seeks to capitalize on lower middle market private equity opportunities, including co-investments and investments with independent sponsors and search funds (traditional and self-funded searchers).
Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs)
As an opportunistic investor, Boulevard will create SPVs to target idiosyncratic, high-impact investments in uncorrelated and/or niche markets as they are identified.
